Authentic Vietnamese Broken Rice

Cơm Tấm, or Vietnamese broken rice, originated as a humble dish among rice farmers in the Mekong Delta. Initially considered inferior rice, these broken grains were transformed into a delicious meal that has since become an iconic part of Vietnamese cuisine.

During Vietnam's urbanization in the early 20th century, Cơm Tấm gained popularity across Southern provinces, especially in Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City). As the city welcomed visitors from around the world, the dish evolved, incorporating grilled pork, steamed omelet, and other delicious components.

Today, Cơm Tấm is so deeply ingrained in Saigon culture that locals say, "Saigon people eat Cơm Tấm like Hanoi people eat Phở." We're proud to bring this authentic Vietnamese experience to the Philippines.
